Srinagar, May 12 -- Expressing deep concern over the suffering of people living along the Line of Control (LoC) and International Boundary (IB), CPI(M) leader and MLA Kulgam, M.Y. Tarigami on Monday urged both the Government of India and the J&K administration to urgently prioritize the rehabilitation of families affected by recent cross-border shelling.

While addressing the press conference at Srinager Today,Tarigami said that border villages in Uri, Poonch, Rajouri, Kupwara, and others faced devastation due to skirmishes. "These people have lived through fear, destruction, and loss. It is the government's responsibility to ensure their safe return, provide adequate compensation, and rebuild their lives with dignity," he said.
