Srinagar, June 21 -- CPI(M) leader and MLA Kulgam, M.Y. Tarigami, has raised serious concern over the growing scarcity of irrigation facilities in Kashmir during the peak paddy transplantation season.

Citing the impact of climate change and the drying up of water sources, Tarigami said the Irrigation Department must take responsibility for managing and distributing the available water resources efficiently at this critical time.
