Srinagar, Oct. 9 -- The Supreme Court of India is set to hear petitions seeking the restoration of Jammu and Kashmir's statehood on Friday. The matter has been listed at serial number 17 before a bench headed by Chief Justice of India (CJI) BR Gavai.
Advocate Soayib Qureshi confirmed that the case is scheduled for hearing on October 10. "The case is listed before the Chief Justice of India. However, the Union of India has not yet filed its response," he said.
