Srinagar, Nov. 27 -- Srinagar Police conducted coordinated raids across the city at the residences and business establishments of individuals identified as associates of Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI) as part of ongoing efforts to maintain security and public order.
The searches were carried out at various locations in areas including Chanpora, Baghat, Bemina, Soura, Lalbazar, Harwan and Nowgam. Police also searched several institutions and establishments linked with JeI ideology, including Jamiat-ul-Banaat near Kashmir University, Rahat Manzil at Chattabal, Chinar Publication Trust and Al-Kousar Book Shop at Maisuma.
