Srinagar, Dec. 3 -- Srinagar Police has arrested a fraudster in Bemina area and recovered multiple ATM cards from his possession, along with a mobile phone used in the commission of the crime.

Taking cognizance of a written complaint from Nazir Ahmed War, S/o Asadullah War, R/o Palpora Pattan, the In-charge of the Centralized ATM Department of J&K Bank, Police Station Bemina registered caseFIR No. 116/2025under sections303(2), 324(4), and 62 of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita ( BNS ). Accordingly, Srinagar Police constituted a special trap team in collaboration with the ATM Department of J&K Bank. The team laid a trap at theJVC ATM, which had been repeatedly targeted and from where several complaints of ATM app/pad damage had been reported.
