Srinagar, July 12 -- J&K Assembly Speaker Advocate Abdul Rahim Rather has responded to PDP President Mehbooba Mufti's social media post regarding the resolution on declaring 13th July as an official holiday, calling her statement misleading and not based on facts.
According to KNS, Rather clarified that the resolution submitted by Waheed-ur-Rehman Parra during the Budget Session 2025-26 in March was admitted by the Assembly Secretariat. A total of 111 resolutions from 34 members were received, out of which 87 were admitted for balloting and the rest were disallowed as per rules.
Parra had submitted four resolutions, and two of them-including the one seeking to declare 13th July as a holiday to honour the 1931 martyrs-were admitted.Click...
