Jammu, Dec. 29 -- The Senior Superintendent of Police (SP) Handwara on Friday issued a clear warning to drug peddlers, stating that police will follow a zero-tolerance policy against the drug trade. He said anyone found involved in drug trafficking will face strict legal action, with no relaxation.

The SP said the police have launched a focused campaign to fight drug abuse and stressed that public support is necessary to make this drive successful. He said drug addiction is harming society, especially the youth, and can only be controlled through joint efforts of police and the community.
