Sopore, Nov. 23 -- As part of its sustained action against narcotics, Sopore Police today apprehended a drug peddler during naka checking on the Shalpora-Tujjer general road, under the jurisdiction of Police Station Bomai.

A suspicious individual attempted to flee on noticing the naka party, but the alert team acted swiftly and apprehended him tactfully. On personal search, charas-like substance was recovered from his possession.

The accused has been identified as: * Faheem Sultan Wagay, S/O Mohammad Sultan Wagay, R/O Warpora Sopore
