Srinagar, Aug. 9 -- The Indian Air Force (IAF) has revealed that six Pakistani aircraft including five fighter jets and an AWACS surveillance plane were destroyed during Operation Sindoor. This was the first major disclosure about the damage caused to Pakistan's air fleet in the May 7 military offensive launched after the Pahalgam attack.
Speaking at the 16th Air Chief Marshal LM Katre Lecture in Bengaluru, Air Chief Marshal AP Singh said the Russian-made S-400 missile system played a key role in the aerial kills.
