Srinagar, June 10 -- Members of the Sikh community in Jammu and Kashmir have appealed to the government to declare a gazetted holiday on the birth anniversary of Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji, which falls on Thursday, 12 June 2025.

In a formal appeal addressed to the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, the community has urged the administration to recognize the spiritual and historical importance of the occasion.
