Several hamlets of Gurez Valley in north Kashmir's Bandipora district are reeling under darkness for the past few days after a generator supplying electricity to the villages developed a snag, locals complained here on Monday. Locals said the generator installed in Neeru has developed a fault that has put many hamlets of Neeru and Neeru Shath into darkness troubling the inhabitants. "Without electricity people are facing a lot of inconvenience. Even though we are not able to charge our mobiles," the locals said. They said that the students have to face the maximum brunt as they are the worst sufferers due to lack of electricity in the village.
