Anantnag, May 24 -- In response to mounting public outrage and fresh allegations of medical negligence, the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Kokernag has cancelled the permission granted to Paras Hospital Srinagar for holding a medical camp in Kokernag. The event was scheduled for May 26 at the Municipal Committee Meeting Hall.
The cancellation, issued via order No. SDM/KNG/2025-26/789-95 on May 24, comes shortly after the reported death of 34-year-old Waseem Ahmed Pathan, a resident of Pampore who had recently returned from Saudi Arabia. His family claims he died due to negligent post-operative care at the hospital, despite paying Rs 5 lakh for treatment.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
