Jammu, Nov. 19 -- Senior DPAP leader Salman Nizami on Tuesday reacted sharply to a few leaders rejoining the Congress, terming them "deadwood." He said some of these leaders had earlier quit the party, contested independently, and continue to use Ghulam Nabi Azad's name despite having lost by large margins.

According to a statement issued here, Nizami said former Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad had already advised such leaders to "go anywhere," as he did not want the burden of accommodating them again.
