Srinagar, Oct. 14 -- Minister for Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare and Education, Sakeena Itoo on Tuesday flagged off 5-KM Red Run 2025 from Foreshore Road here to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS and promote healthy lifestyles.

The race was organised by Jammu & Kashmir AIDS Control Society (JKACS) in collaboration with University of Kashmir to spread awareness regarding HIV/AIDS and breaking the stigma associated with the disease.

Addressing the gathering, Minister Sakeena emphasized on the importance of collective action in combating stigma and promoting awareness around HIV/AIDS. She lauded the efforts of JKACS in engaging the youth and educational institutions in health promotion initiatives.
