JAMMU, Feb. 19 -- National Conference Additional General Secretary and former minister Ajay Kumar Sadhotra on today greeted the people on the commencement of the holy month of Ramadan and prayed for peace, tranquility and further strengthening of the pluralistic character of Jammu and Kashmir.

In his message, Sadhotra said Ramadan is a sacred period of self-discipline and compassion, observed with deep devotion and humility by the Muslim community across the world.

Extending his warm wishes to the Muslim brethren, Mr Sadhotra expressed hope that the month-long fasting, prayers and acts of charity would bring spiritual fulfilment and renewed hope to families across the region.
