Kulgam, July 3 -- Residents of Reshipora village in south Kashmir's Kulgam district staged a protest on Thursday over a severe shortage of drinking water in their area, blocking the main road and halting traffic for several hours.
Men, women, and elderly residents gathered on the road, raising slogans against the Jal Shakti Department and district authorities for failing to resolve the issue despite repeated complaints.
"We've been suffering without clean water for weeks. Authorities are ignoring our appeals," said a local protester.
