Srinagar, Sept. 1 -- Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday reviewed the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir, reiterating the Centre's "zero-tolerance policy against terrorism" and directing all security agencies to remain on high alert.

Chairing a meeting at the Raj Bhavan in Jammu, Shah asked agencies to operate in a coordinated manner to eliminate terrorism from the Union Territory. The meeting was attended by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, the Union Home Secretary, the Director of Intelligence Bureau, Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, DGP, heads of Central Armed Police Forces and senior officials of the UT administration.
