Srinagar June 12, June 12 -- Random increase by 200 rupees on electricity bills is injustice to people and needs to be rectified. People have been expecting electricity at cheaper rates given the promises and repeated assurances made to them before and after the elections, especially after the formation of the Govt.

It is astonishing that despite ensuring electricity on cheaper rates as was expected, the PDD department which is under the direct control of the Chief Minister is overcharging fees against the usage, violating the agreement between the consumer and the department (PDD), which cannot be justified.
