Srinagar, Jan. 13 -- Severe cold conditions continued across Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh on Tuesday as minimum temperatures dipped well below freezing at most places in the Kashmir Valley and Ladakh region, while parts of Jammu recorded near-zero temperatures, officials said. In the Kashmir Valley, Srinagar recorded a minimum temperature of minus 4.9 degrees Celsius, while Qazigund settled at minus 5.0 degrees. Pahalgam recorded minus 6.2 degrees Celsius and Kupwara minus 5.8 degrees. Pulwama emerged as one of the coldest places in the Valley at minus 6.6 degrees Celsius, followed by Sopore at minus 6.5 degrees and Shopian at minus 6.3 degrees.
