Srinagar, Jan. 15 -- Several parts of Kashmir recorded sub-zero minimum temperatures on Wednesday, with Pulwama and Shopian emerging as the coldest places in the Valley at minus 6.1 degrees Celsius, according to data compiled by Kashmir Weather. The minimum temperature in Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, settled at minus 3.9 degrees Celsius, while the nearby Srinagar airport recorded a low of minus 5.0 degrees. Qazigund, the gateway town to the Valley, registered a minimum of minus 4.7 degrees, while Pahalgam, a prominent tourist destination in south Kashmir, recorded minus 5.0 degrees.
