Srinagar, May 27 -- In a remarkable feat of medical care, doctors at 92 Base Hospital, BB Cantt Srinagar, under the aegis of Chinar Corps, saved the life of a baby girl born nearly three months premature. Delivered at just 26 weeks and 5 days, the baby weighed only 750 grams at birth.
Her 30-year-old mother, suffering from a blood disorder known as immune thrombocytopenia, faced a life-threatening complication-placental abruption-causing heavy internal bleeding. She lost around 1.5 litres of blood and went into shock, prompting an emergency C-section to save both lives.
The newborn, extremely fragile and struggling to breathe, was immediately shifted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelFor...
