A postal assistant posted at the Bandipora Post Office was arrested on Saturday after being caught red-handed while accepting a bribe of ?6,000 from a complainant, officials said.

According to a spokesperson of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), a team conducted a raid at the post office following a complaint. It apprehended the accused while he was accepting the bribe amount.

The accused has been identified as Mudasir Ahmad Najar, a resident of Rohama, Baramulla, currently working as a Postal Assistant in the Post Office Bandipora.
