Srinagar, Jan. 23 -- Residents of various villages of north Kashmir's Kupwara district today complained that they have not received any benefit of centrally sponsored scheme Pradhan Mantri Kissan Youjna (PMKY).

According to residents of Gundchubutra, Mangwalpora, Muqam, Mushnar, Batagund and adjoining villages they have not received a single penny of the scheme in two years.

The aggrieved residents said they had registered themselves according to the provisions of the scheme. According to the scheme, the farmers were entitled of Rs 6000 per annum..

They also said they have visited the concerned office several times but they only hear hollow assurances.
