Srinagar, Oct. 7 -- BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh on Tuesday welcomed the release of ?171 crore under PM-KISAN for more than 8.5 lakh farmers of Jammu and Kashmir.

In a statement issued, He said this advance instalment, delivered under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and guidance of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, is a timely lifeline for farmers hit by recent floods. Chugh thanked the Union Agriculture Minister for ensuring that the 21st instalment of PM-KISAN reached J&K farmers without delay.
