Srinagar, May 13 -- President of the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Front (PDF) and former minister, Hakeem Muhammad Yaseen, on Tuesday welcomed the recent ceasefire and restoration of normalcy in the border areas of Jammu and Kashmir.

He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the security forces for their firm response during the crisis, which helped de-escalate tensions and safeguard civilian lives.
