Srinagar, Nov. 18 -- As massive traffic jams continue to haunt commuters in Srinagar, traffic authorities on Monday said ongoing board exams and more flow of vehicles from districts towards the city are the reasons for jams.

Since last two weeks massive traffic jams have been witnesses across Srinagar city. While the commuters blame security barricades erected on roads, wrong parking and street vendors installing their stalls on footpaths and roads as the main reason for the traffic jams, authorities said after two months of shutdown more people are coming to city causing the jams.

SSP Traffic City Al-Tahir Geelani told KNS that number of vehicles plying on roads is high due to ongoing board exams.
