Srinagar, March 18 -- Former chief minister and National Conference (NC) Vice President, Omar Abdullah on Monday alleged that officers of Jammu and Kashmir favouring early Assembly elections were being browbeaten and threatened, saying that those making threats will not remain in the state for very long.

In a series of tweets, Omar lashed out at some officers in Jammu and Kashmir, saying "for their own selfish reasons, they have taken it upon themselves to scuttle democracy in the state."

"One day we will talk about the cabal of officers in J&K who for their own selfish reasons have taken it upon themselves to scuttle democracy in the state," Omar tweeted
