Srinagar, Sept. 5 -- The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (NC) has expressed concerns over certain practices at the Hazratbal shrine, emphasizing that activities within the revered site must respect the faith and sensitivities of devotees.

In a statement, the party recalled the guiding principle of Sher-i-Kashmir Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah: "Sher-i-Kashmir ka kya irshaad - Hindu, Muslim, Sikh Ittihaad." The NC said that unity, mutual respect, and dignity for all faiths remain central to its ideology.
