Jammu, April 11 -- The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Friday slammed LOP Sunil Sharma's comments regarding restoration of statehood to J&K, saying Sharma's remarks directly contradict the promises made by the Prime Minister during his election campaign visits to Srinagar and Jammu.

In a statement to KNS, released from the party headquarters Nawa-e-Subha, party's State Spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar expressed his disappointment, stating that LOP's comments are a far cry from the commitments made by the Prime Minister and Home Minister to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
