Jammu, July 14 -- The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference has come out against what it calls the "brazen manhandling" of Party Vice President and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah by police personnel while he was on his way to pay homage at Mazar-e-Shohada.

JKNC General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar, Additional General Secretaries Dr. Sheikh Mustafa Kamal, Ajay Sadhotra, Qamar Ali Akhoon, Treasurer Shammi Oberoi, Advisor to HCM Nasir Aslam Wani, Chief Spokesperson Tanvir Sadiq, Provincial Presidents Showkat Mir and Rattan Lal Gupta, along with party legislators, YNC, women's wing, and zonal leaders, termed the police action a "shocking insult to democratic dignity."
