Srinagar, Oct. 14 -- Jammu and Kashmir Congress chief Tariq Hamid Karra on Tuesday has said that by back tracking on the promise of a safe seat for Rajya Sabha Omar Abdullah-led National Conference (NC) has shaken our trust and its alliance partner is seemingly moving away from the INDIA block by not adhering to the coalition mantra.

Congress Source said that the NC's latest stance has created doubts about its sincerity towards the INDIA alliance, and suggested that the party is moving away from the coalition spirit.

According to Congress sources, the NC had initially assured the party that one of the Rajya Sabha seats from Jammu and Kashmir would be allocated to Congress as part of the INDIA bloc's understanding.
