Srinagar, Feb. 14 -- A large group of political activists and workers from Kot Bhalwal, Jammu, joined the Apni Party today at a special event organized at the party office here. All the new entrants were formerly associated with the National Conference (NC).
According to a press release, these workers quit the NC after realising that the party has failed to deliver on the promises it made during the election campaign.
"In a special event organised at the Apni Party office in Jammu, the party's Senior Vice President, Ghulam Hassan Mir, gave a warm welcome to the new entrants and assured them that the party would prove to be a reliable platform for them to serve the people in their respective areas," press release said.
