Kupwara, Dec. 9 -- The Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) Kupwara today conducted a major enforcement drive across the district, acting on specific directions from the Secretary Transport and the Transport Commissioner, J&K.

The operation was initiated to curb traffic violations, enhance road safety, and rigorously enforce the provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.

The drive began by addressing severe traffic congestion on Hospital Road, Kupwara, where MVD teams successfully removed illegal encroachments and addressed instances of wrong parking.
