Srinagar, Jan. 7 -- PDP president Mehbooba Mufti on Wednesday remembered her father, former Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, on his 10th death anniversary, describing him as a leader "with no match" in Jammu and Kashmir and saying the region would not have been facing the present difficulties had his vision been followed.

Addressing party workers, Mehbooba Mufti said Mufti Mohammad Sayeed believed in reaching out to people directly and never chased power. "He went to every village. That was his way. He never ran after the chair; he went after the people. That is why people still remember him with respect today," she said.
