Jammu, Feb. 13 -- Mohammad Yaseen Churisaaz on Friday resigned from the Jammu and Kashmir People's Conference (JKPC) and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at the party headquarters here. Churisaaz, who was serving as Senior Vice District President of the JKPC in Srinagar, said he had stepped down from the basic membership of the party after "careful and thoughtful consideration". He was inducted into the BJP in the presence of senior party leaders, including its Jammu and Kashmir general secretary (organisation) Ashok Koul and other functionaries.
