Gool, Sept. 14 -- Sixteen families in Gool were left devastated after their homes were badly damaged due to land sinking triggered by recent heavy rains and flash floods.

MLA Banihal, Sajjad Shaheen, Sunday rushed to the affected area along with DDC Chairperson Ramban Dr Shamshada Shan to personally assess the situation and take stock of the damages.

Shaheen also visited Government Degree College Gool, where the affected families have been temporarily accommodated. The MLA listened to their grievances and assured they full support in this hour of distress.
