Jammu, June 10 -- Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir, Dr. Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq, has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Wani, the father of Moulana Bashir Ahmad Nadwi - renowned social activist and the founder of the welfare organisation Athrout.

Mirwaiz visited the bereaved family at their residence in Nawakadal to offer his condolences. Paying rich tribute to the deceased, he described his passing as a significant loss for the entire locality. He noted that Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Wani had a long and deep association with the Mirwaiz family, and his death is personally felt with pain and grief.
