Srinagar, Oct. 8 -- The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (Kashmir) Provincial President Showkat Mir Wednesday urged the Omar Abdullah-led government to continue its good work in ensuring adequate arrangements for essential commodities during the approaching winter months, particularly in the upper reaches of the Kashmir division.

In a statement issued, Mir appreciated the government's well-devised strategy and efficient planning during the previous winter, which ensured smooth availability and stocking of ration, kerosene oil, and other essential supplies even in remote and snowbound areas.
