Srinagar, Sept. 7 -- An Inter-Ministerial Central Team (IMCT) from the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Sunday arrived in Kashmir to assess the destruction caused by recent floods, landslides, and cloudbursts.

Officials told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that the delegation will hold discussions with the local administration and carry out on-ground inspections in several affected districts. The team is tasked with evaluating the extent of losses, reviewing relief and rescue efforts, and preparing a detailed report for the Centre, they said.

The visit follows weeks of heavy rainfall across Jammu and Kashmir that led to widespread damage to homes, farmland, and infrastructure.
