Rajouri, Aug. 29 -- Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti has expressed serious concern over the prevailing situation at Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU), terming it a complete deviation from its original vision.

In a statement issued, Mufti said that the university, which was conceptualized as a centre of learning under the leadership of late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and brought into existence through the efforts of Chowdhary Masood, is now facing deep administrative and institutional challenges.

Highlighting the status of faculty and staff at the university, she said that nearly 80 percent of the posts are vacant, there is no permanent faculty, and infrastructure is inadequate.
