Srinagar, Oct. 30 -- The Food Safety Wing of the Drugs and Food Control Organization, J&K, has taken strict action against five meat sellers in Srinagar for violating hygiene and sanitation rules. Officials found the sellers keeping meat carcasses hanging outside their shops in Hazooribagh and Nowgam, despite several previous warnings. The department has issued prohibition orders, stopping these sellers from slaughtering or selling meat until further notice.
