Srinagar, Feb. 18 -- Mawer residents on Tuesday claimed that several villages in the area are still forced to drink contaminated water from Nala Mawar despite crores of rupees being spent on water supply schemes since 2007.

They said three schemes were launched over the years to provide clean drinking water, but none have delivered results. The affected villages include Prongro, Warpora, Kharpora, Adora, Chak Adora, Dongosa, Omarabad Lam and News Basti.
