Pahalgam, June 10 -- In a bid to revive tourism and restore communal harmony in Kashmir, former Chief Minister and PDP president Mehbooba Mufti on Tuesday held a key interaction with stakeholders in the scenic resort town of Pahalgam.

Speaking to hoteliers, ponywalas, and workers along the Amarnath Yatra route, Mehbooba Mufti underscored the critical role of locals in facilitating the annual pilgrimage. "The Army may provide security, but it is the people of Pahalgam who are the true protectors of the Yatra. They've braved storms and snowfall for years to support pilgrims. That spirit must be revived," she said in an interview with KNS.
