Srinagar, Aug. 30 -- Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Anshul Garg, on Saturday said that the local Pandit community has been playing an important role in reviving the Ganga Yatra for many years and that the administration is committed to supporting the pilgrimage.

Speaking on the sidelines of the annual Gangbal Yatra, Garg said, "As we know that our local Pandit community has been reviving the Ganga Yatra for many years. Even today, a team of Pandits is starting the Yatra. We have received an invitation from the local committee headed by General Secretary Vinod ji for this Yatra."
