Srinagar, Nov. 4 -- The Meteorological Department on Tuesday said that a feeble western disturbance is approaching Jammu and Kashmir, likely bringing light snowfall in higher reaches and rain in some plains.

Talking to KNS ,Director MeT, Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad, said that cloud cover would increase by afternoon, followed by light snowfall in the mountainous areas and light rain in parts of the plains, including the Jammu region. "In higher reaches like Doodhpathri, there is a possibility of light snowfall," he said.

According to Dr. Mukhtar, the weather activity is expected to continue till late night or early morning in some districts, after which conditions will improve. "Weather is expected to remain dry from tomorrow till around November ...
