New Delhi, Dec. 10 -- Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, on Wednesday paid tribute to Veer Savarkar, calling him a "valiant son of Mother India" whose life was dedicated to the freedom and development of the country.

Speaking at the 'Veer Savarkar International Impact Award' organised by High-range Rural Development Society (HRDS India) in New Delhi, Sinha said that today, Indians are working towards creating a strong, self-reliant, and developed nation in line with Savarkar's vision.

The Lieutenant Governor commended HRDS India for highlighting Savarkar's contributions and restoring his legacy in the collective consciousness of citizens.
