Srinagar, Aug. 14 -- A tragic cloudburst struck the Chashoti area of Kishtwar District on Thursday , Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha spoke to Home Minister Amit Shah, briefing him about the ongoing rescue and relief operations. The Union Home Minister assured all possible assistance.

The Lieutenant Governor, who is constantly monitoring the situation, has directed officials from the Civil Administration, Police, Army, NDRF, and SDRF to strengthen rescue efforts and ensure maximum aid reaches the affected.

Rescue and relief operations are in full swing, with men and machinery deployed at the site, additional teams rushed to the area, and the Air Force put on alert for evacuation.
