Srinagar, July 29 -- In a significant development for lake conservation efforts in Kashmir, the Legislative Committee on Environment, led by M.Y. Tarigami, visited Nigeen Lake to assess ongoing ecological preservation measures.

Manzoor Ahmad Wangnoo, who accompanied the delegation as Chairman of the Nigeen Lake Conservation Organisation (NLCO), welcomed the committee and took them on a tour of the lake. The visit showcased Nigeen's well-maintained condition largely free from plastic and solid waste which is a result of persistent efforts by LCMA and dedicated stakeholders.
