Srinagar, Nov. 11 -- The Kulgam Working Journalists Association (KWJA) on Tuesday elected its new executive body, reaffirming its commitment to strengthen the district's media ecosystem and address issues faced by journalists.
According to a press release issued, The election took place at Town Hall Kulgam, where journalists from across the district participated in the voting process.
According to the election committee, senior journalist Khurshid Padroo was elected as the 8th President of the association, while Umaisar Gull was unanimously elected as the General Secretary.
Formed in 2007-when Kulgam was declared a separate district-KWJA has been working toward building a professional, ethical, and collaborative media environment.Click...
