Stinagar, May 18 -- The Kashmir Trade Alliance (KTA) has formally urged the government to announce a comprehensive financial stimulus package as the Kashmir Valley grapples with what it describes as the "worst business slump" in recent memory following the Pahalgam attack.

In a strongly worded statement issued today, KTA President Aijaz Shahdhar highlighted the dire economic situation affecting virtually all sectors across the region.

"Kashmir is facing its worst ever business slump," Shahdhar stated. "While tourism has been the most severely impacted sector, the current situation has dealt a devastating blow to almost every segment of our economy."
